Hoses
Flexible ducting and duct hoses used in aircrafts are generally designed to handle high temperature applications.  Silicone coated fiberglass fabric hoses (GS, BDS, CWGS) can handle temperatures up to 550F.  Amongst these large diameter hoses, the CWGS is most flexible (although it is not recommended for continuous flexing), while the GS offers more abrasion resistant qualities due to its double-ply nature.   Silicone/fiberglass ducting is essentially recommended for industrial air movement and fume control applications. These hoses are available in inside diameters (ID) from 1" up to 12".
In rare times where a flexible duct for higher temperature and more extreme aeronautic conditions is necessary, the Bendaway Plus, a flexible duct made from Stainless Steel-316Ti, is recommended.  This product can operate in temperatures up to 1650 F and fare well in some of the most corrosive environments.  For a chemical compatibility chart please contact your Rubber-Cal or Ducting.com Representative.
