These high temperature hose and duct hose products are designed for extreme temperatures. For temperatures at or above 500 degrees Fahrenheit, either silicone-coated fiberglass hoses or metal ducting hoses are the best choices.Silicone hoses (i.e. BDS, CWGS, Flex-Lok SF, and GS) are designed to provide excellent flexibility in high temperature exhaust ducting applications. Silicone also provides a high degree of chemical resistance, an important factor in fume venting situations. For environments where external abrasion resistance is necessary, the Flex-Lok SF is designed with an external wire to protect the hose fabric.For extreme temperatures (from 600 degrees Fahrenheit to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit), stainless steel ducting is the best choice. While these hoses do not offer the flexibility of silicone products, the Bendaway ducts ( Bendaway A, Bendaway S, Bendaway Plus) are self-supporting once bent to the desired angle. The wall thickness on these hoses is thin enough to allow them to be flexed into the desired shape by hand.
