Double-ply silicone inner & silcn/ Nomex® outer layer Nomex® material increases flex life & durability Resistant to oils & solvents, ozone, fungus & alkalis |
Cab Ventilation ducting is used to provide cold air intake or hot air exhaust venting. The hoses broadly break down into two categories: lightweight, low temperature ducting and high temperature ducting. Low temperature flexible ducting, such as the CWS and MG-V, can be used to provide a source of cold air to an enclosed space, such as a truck cab. Because these hoses are highly flexible and have especially tight minimum bend radii (allowing the hose to be flexed without losing any interior size), they can be used to vent air into confined spaces easily. To duct heated air away from cabs, fiberglass fabric hoses coated with neoprene or silicone elastomers are the best option. These hoses rate up to 550 Fahrenheit, and can be used to direct hot air away from engine components and vehicle inhabitants. |
Laminate of fiberglass & vacuum metalized polyester film, Up to 625 F operating temp Heat reflective, Smooth bend radius |
PVC wall Hose, Very lightweight & flexible Good chemical resistance |
Medium weight Santoprene rubber hose, Smooth interior, Easy to clean Resistant to ozone, UV rays, & weathering |
Double-ply silicone coated woven fiberglass hose, Narrow pitch allows for tight bending radius, Resistant to many oils, solvents, ozone, & alkalis Non-kinking, High temps to 550 F |
Double-ply neoprene coated woven fiberglass, Non kinking, Lightweight, Temps up to 300 F Not recommended for continuous flexing |
Light weight black polyethylene hose, Smooth interior prevents clogs, Crush resistant, Very flexible |
