Hoses made for Sand and Gravel Suction.  When moving highly abrasive sand or gravel, these ducting hoses offer exceptional service life through their material composition and wall thickness.
The thicker hoses for this application (i.e. Flx-Thane HD and R-3) range from .045 to .075 inch wall thickness.  The R-3 offers a thicker wall of PVC, while the Flx-Thane HD offers a thinner wall of polyurethane.  Since polyurethane offers greater abrasion resistance than PVC, the added wall thickness adds to the lifespan of the R-3 in highly abrasive environments.
