“Thermoplastic Flex Medium-Duty WS” is a thermoplastic rubber duct designed as a great general-purpose material, air, dust or fume handling hose. This product is unique from other thermoplastic rubber duct products because it features an external wear-strip that offers additional external abrasion protection and drag resistance. The external wear-strip extends the product life by protecting the hose from external wear, which is often forgotten by end-users. This is one of our best selling products!
Thermoplastic rubbers are a class of copolymers that possess both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties, generally made from a mix of plastic and rubber. The thermoplastic rubber material gives this rubber hose great chemical resistance and also provides a longer life in extreme hot and cold environments over standard rubber. Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) have been proven to be dependable polymers for flexible engineered parts that require long-term performance. This hose is recommended for applications that require good chemical and abrasion resistance, such as dust and abrasives collection.
This thermoplastic rubber duct has a temperature range of -40 degrees to +275 degrees Fahrenheit and is intended for use in environments with wide temperature ranges. This hose is an excellent and affordable option for flexible hose pipe applications that require high temperature resistance. The “Thermoplastic Flex Medium-Duty WS” rubber hose comes in 25 and 50 ft sections. Stocked sizes are also available in 12.5 ft sections. This flexible hose pipe features plain cut ends with a black finish and an exterior yellow wear-strip. This thermoplastic rubber duct is available in a wide range of internal diameter sizes larger than other thermoplastic rubber ducts. The internal diameter sizes for this rubber duct range from 2 to 24 inches. This rubber hose can also be ordered in custom lengths up to 50ft.
The wall thickness of this flexible hose pipe is 0.025 inch in a 2″ ID and 0.030 inch in 2.5″ ID and above sizes. The medium-duty design of this rubber hose demonstrates the perfect combination of flexibility and abrasion resistance. This rubber hose is the ideal choice for a wide variety of applications such as dust collection, lawn and leaf collection, R.V. manufacturing, woodworking/furniture manufacturing, pipe organs, dry cleaning, chemical fumes, automobile exhaust, street sweeping and paint spray extraction.
